Hello all! I am writing with some fantastic new information.
As many of you know, in the past, our turnaround time for posting weddings was 6-8 weeks, and albums could take up to one year. As the past couple of years were our first doing this full-time, everyday has been a learning experience for us. Figuring out how to effectively manage our time with regards to shooting, editing, designing, etc. was a real challenge for quite some time. Well, this past winter (during our slow months), we decided to make some changes. We sat down, brainstormed, and came up with an amazing new work flow that you (our clients), will definitely appreciate, and it is so good for us too. We feel like we actually have a life outside of the office again!
For weddings that take place on Saturday, we fully edit your wedding, blog and post it on Monday…Tuesday at the very latest. That’s right…2 days!!! After that, we begin work on your album (if you ordered one), and will have that done within 3 weeks. Ideally, in the week immediately following the wedding. When you get back from your honeymoon (or even while you’re on it, if you just can’t wait), you will be able to log on to our website and see your photos!!
As far as portrait sessions go, (baby, child, family, senior, etc.) when we schedule your shoot, we will also schedule your personal premiere session to take place about one week following your session. Before you come in, we will blog your session, and post it to an online gallery so you can start looking through them and thinking about which ones are your favorites. Then, when you get here, you will view your session in a slide show format, select your favorites, and we will show you different wall grouping options, as well as album options. All of our pre-designed wall groupings are 10% off regular print prices, and you also receive 10% off your entire order when you place and pay for it at your premiere session.
So, hopefully this information will make everyone happy and even more excited to come in and work with us. We’re smart people here, but achieving perfection takes time. We feel we have achieved it (or really close to it), with this new system, and we hope you will appreciate it. For our past brides who so patiently put up with us as we were much slower in getting your disks, albums, etc. to you thank you for sticking with us. Now, hopefully you can refer your friends, family, and coworkers our way with even more confidence!
