Allen Family | Studio Session

Normally when we document a family, we go out and shoot on location.  The family picks a favorite spot, and we get lots of photos of them having fun together and just being themselves.  Sometimes, though, it's good to shake things up a bit.  Get outside your comfort zone.  Color outside the lines.  And lately, for us, that has meant getting back in the studio a bit.  It's been fun to get "back to our roots" and create some really classic and beautiful portraits of people in this setting.  It really allows for their expressions and body language to shine through, and keeps all the focus on the people...rather than the surroundings.  Thankfully, the Allen family was open to this experience, and they ended up being the perfect family for it!  That first photo had a few people asking when their album was gonna drop.  Right?!?  We even got a few smiles out of a teenager.  So, that alone, made it a success.  Thank you, Allen family, for coming out to play.  We hope you love these photos as much as we do!
