Love is Love is Love

On this final day of Pride Month, we just wanted to share some recent reflections. We are all aware of the fact that there is a lot of hatred, bigotry, and divisiveness in the world right now. And quite frankly, it breaks our hearts.

You see, in 15 years of photographing weddings, we've documented it all. Women marrying men, women marrying women, men marrying men. We've also shot weddings for black people marrying white people, Jewish people marrying Catholic people, and old people marrying young people. Indian weddings, Korean weddings, Vietnamese weddings, and Atheist weddings. People of all skin colors, backgrounds, religious beliefs, and sexual orientations. And you know what every single one of them had in common? Love. They all had partners they loved more than life itself, and they decided to show that love to the world by committing to each other in marriage.

While we are staunch supporters of marriage equality and equal human rights, we know that a lot of people feel differently. And that's ok. I mean, who are we to judge? If we ask that others not judge, we mustn't either, right? We are all just human beings, trying to make it through life the best we can, and we personally believe that it is not our place to judge others. . .but to love them. That's it.

We could go on and on about our beliefs and why we feel the way we do. But honestly, there's not much more to say. No person is any more or less human than any other person walking the Earth. And every single one of us has our struggles and doubts. Fears and failures. Joys and triumphs. Just think how much better life would be if we just loved and supported one another, as we are all on the same journey at the end of the day.

Love. All we need is love.

Regardless of who you are, where you came from, and who you love, we would be honored to tell your story too. Leave us a note and tell us a little more!
