Alli and Ryan | Kansas City Wedding

We are pretty sure that when Alli and Ryan selected June 25th for their wedding date, they didn't think it would be 99 degrees outside. But 99 degrees it was. Needless to say, we got lots of photos of girls with fans. Fans blowing inside robes, fans blowing up dresses, fans blowing on armpits. Fans, fans everywhere. But it was a beautiful day, nonetheless. They started out their day relaxing and getting ready at The Raphael Hotel [one of our personal favorites]. Then it was off to the stunning Cathedral of St. Peter for their ceremony. Notice how much fun we had photographing Grandma. She loved waving that finger at Jason, because she wasn't a fan of having her photo taken. But isn't she a hoot? And beautiful, to boot. Finally, they arrived at Lake Quivira Country Club for their lakeside reception. June 25th also happens to be Jason's birthday. Because he's pretty rad and chooses to work on his birthday, some couples in the past have had birthday cakes for him or even had all their guests sing to him at their receptions. He. Died. Not that he didn't appreciate it when people did that [our clients are THE BEST], but he really REALLY never wanted that to happen again. He prefers to slink around in his black ninja clothes on wedding days, taking awesome sneaky photos that nobody sees him taking. So he says, "THANK YOU ALLI AND RYAN for not calling attention to the fact that I am, in fact, another year older." I kind of wish I had sent over a cake or something and made sure they all sang to him, because embarrassing him and playing jokes on him is one of my main reasons for existing. Anyhoo, this was an absolutely beautiful wedding day, and we are forever grateful that Alli and Ryan chose us to document it for them.
