Maria and Matt | Kansas City Wedding at The Abbott

Maria and Matt were originally slated to marry on March 28th, and were the first couple we worked with on altering their wedding plans due to the pandemic. After all these months, it finally happened!

Maria and her friends began the day getting ready at the beautiful Ambassador Hotel in downtown Kansas City, and Matt and his buddies hung out at the downtown Marriott. After a first look and some portraits around the city, it was time to head back to The Abbott to get hitched! They had a beautiful ceremony and then danced the night away with their closest friends and family.

One of our favorite things about the day was that they didn’t pretend current events weren’t going on. They embraced it. We’re big fans of telling it like it is, in case you didn’t know. They had the cutest masks for the two of them and their wedding party, and they wore them proudly! After all, many years from now, when they’re sharing their love story with their kids and grandkids, everything that happened in the year 2020 will be part of it. This will forever be part of their history.

Maria and Matt, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for being so awesome and for also allowing US to be part of your story. It has truly been an honor. We’re so excited about what’s in store for you next, and we’ll be seeing you around the neighborhood!
