Joanne and Jonathan | Kansas City Wedding at 28 Event Space

Remember Joanne and Jonathan’s engagement session? Well, now they’re married! But when they got together with everyone on this most momentous day, nobody knew that was going to happen.

If you didn’t read about their pre-ception plans in their other blog post, we’ll give you the CliffsNotes version now.

They originally planned on getting married on safari.
They wanted to do a local party (pre-ception…a reception before the wedding) the week before they left, to celebrate with their friends and family.
They planned a super fun day with some of their favorite local vendors, hometown cocktails, a special entrance on their bike, and even a visit from K.C. Wolf!
Then they changed their minds.

So, everyone arrived at 28 Event Space and was having a great time celebrating their upcoming nuptials. But while K.C. Wolf was putting on a show and getting photos with fans, Joanne secretly slipped away to change clothes before her entrance to their surprise wedding! And what a surprise it was.

Their plan went off without a hitch (but with a hitch…sorry), and THEN they went on safari as husband and wife.
