About a week ago, a group of Kylie and Justin’s friends and family gathered for a party to celebrate their engagement. At least that’s what everyone thought. What they didn’t know was that they were actually going to be attending their WEDDING! The only people that knew about this little…er big…secret were Kylie and Justin, their parents, and their vendors. And holy moly, were we ever excited.

The day started out at a downtown hotel with everyone getting ready to go around KC for what they thought was going to be Kylie and Justin‘s engagement session. The two of them told their friends that since they were planning a private summer ceremony, the one thing they felt like they were going to miss out on was wedding party photos. So they told them they wanted to include them in some of their “engagement” photos. Genius!

When we were finished, the group hopped back on the party bus to head to Foundation for phase 2 of this epic surprise. We arrived, and everyone grabbed a drink and started socializing, still none the wiser. After a while, the planned video chronicling Kylie and Justin’s relationship began to play. As everyone gave it their full attention, it was obvious just how much this sweet couple is loved. Each and every person was so thrilled to be there to celebrate their future plans. . .but they had no idea what was about to happen.

As the video came to a close, Kylie and Justin appeared on the screen and finally let everyone know why they were REALLY there. They were going to be getting married! Right then! You can imagine how shocked and excited everyone was to hear this news. I mean, how many people ever get to say they attended a pop-up wedding in their lifetime?

After a quick wardrobe change, it was time for the ceremony to begin. Some of their guests lined the aisle, each holding a candle to light the space. Everyone else gathered closely around them in a circle to share in this amazing experience.

And of course, when it was over, it was just one big ol’ party. After all, how else would a day like this end?!?
