Raul and Alejandra | Kansas City Proposal at The Nelson

Anytime someone contacts us and says that they are planning to propose to their significant other and wants to hire us to capture it. . .it’s game. on. We didn’t exactly choose this career because of the excitement value, so being able to step outside of our normal box, be part of a super top secret mission, and go totally incognito while taking photos of an awesome moment is 100% our jam.

Raul reached out and said that he and his girlfriend have been doing the long distance thing, but that she was going to be in KC for the weekend and he was ready to pop the question. He said she loves badminton, so he thought the lawn of The Nelson would be a good spot. Perfect, right?!? We met him there the day before to scope things out and make a plan. After getting all the details ironed out, we went our separate ways and planned to meet back up there the next afternoon for the big moment.

We hid in our pre-determined spot and Alejandra had absolutely no idea. She just thought it was sweet that Raul took her there to play some badminton. . .and it was! They took some selfies and started setting up the net. But when he got down on one knee, nothing else mattered. She was stunned. Of course she said “yes”. . .[phew!], and one of our favorite parts was when he told her we were there and showed her where we were hiding. :)

We finished things out by taking some official engagement photos around the property to celebrate with them. Raul and Alejandra. . .we wish you the biggest CONGRATS in the world! We can’t wait to see what’s next for you!
